Using Firefox with Windows 10, why does Firefox bring up the settings page in Windows 10. It does this every time I start Firefox.

What is your home page?
Type about:preferences#general<enter> in the address bar.
There are two settings;
- When Firefox Starts
When the browser is started, what do you want to display. Many of us choose Show My Home Page.
- Home Page
When a new page is opened, what do you want displayed.
- Use Current Page. Use what ever page(s) are open at that time.
- Use Bookmark
- Restore To Default. about:home shows a Mozilla home page with tools.
You can use any of these that you wish;
about:home (Firefox default home page), about:newtab (shows the sites most visited), about:blank (a blank page),
or you can enter any web page or about: page you want.
Separate Issue; Your System Details shows;
Installed Plug-ins
Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 12.1.9.160
Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 12.1.4.154
Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.
You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.
Shockwave Director: Shockwave Standalone Installer / Uninstaller{web link} Shockwave Director Version 12.1.9.160 http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/

When I start Firefox it opens my home page and opens the settings page in Windows 10.
I think I have determined the cause of the problem. When I open Firefox it tells me that Firefox is not my default browser. When I click to make it my default browser, is when it opens the settings page. Now all I have to do is figure out what it wants from my settings.

Thanks for letting us know that you fixed the problem by selecting Firefox as your default browser in your Windows Settings app. I marked that answer as the solution.
