Thunderbird Date stamp shows messages 1hour later than the actual message does it have a daylight saving setting?
See example below where my security cam sends image with time stamp and Thunderbird receives the message but shows the time stamp an hour later (even after the current time)

Check the timezone that your computer clock is set to. I bet it it one timezone off.
No clock set correctly as Outlook and POPPeeper on same machine display correctly, as does Gmail and Typemail on phone and tablet
I said timezone not clock.
No the timezone and clock are OK for London. I have attached the thunderbird , poppeeper and webmail view of the same message it is Thunderbird that time stamps the sent time differently to all other mail programs. Note it has the correct time stamp on in the Date field!

Thunderbird has no clock. It uses the computer clock. There is a timezone setting in the Lightning calendar but I see no way for that to affect message times. This only causes time problems with people that share their calendar or send meeting invitations. Does your remote camera have a clock and timezone setting? I have only seen this caused by 2 things. Incorrect timezone on your computer or on the senders computer.
Yes there is a timezone setting in the camera software and it is set for UK with adjustment for daylight saving. I have tried turning off the daylight saving but it didn't work.
Sorry but doesn't Thunderbird take the time stamp from the mail message, why do all other applications (Outlook, POPPeeper, BT Webmail, Gmail and Typemail ) show the correct time stamp but Thunderbird is the only one showing an incorrect timestamp.
I only raised this since I have been on your beta test program and thought you should be aware that it happens, as a retired IT consultant I was intrigued as to why the timestamp was always exactly an hour out.
Everyone here is a Thunderbird user just like you that volunteers their time to answer questions. We do not get involved with Beta software. if you chose to run beta there are channels to communicate those problems to. It is not this forum.
I just responded to the Thunderbird support within my beta copy of thunderbird and thought I was talking to the Thunderbird developers. Sorry if I wasted both of our time with this I will delete my Thunderbird. You can close this ticket.
open up a command prompt and type %tz% and press enter. Did you get something or just an error? I expect an error.
Couldn't find any command %tz% but the tzutil works
Output below:-
Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.10240] (c) 2015 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
C:\Users\Tony>%tz% '%tz%' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
C:\Users\Tony>tzutil /g GMT Standard Time
the whole point of that exercise was to see if the TZ environment variable was actually set. It is usual in Linux, and some windows applications require it. But it is rare in Windows. However because Thunderbird runs on Linux, it respect the setting.
I was looking for the error as you should not have it set.
FYI. You can repeat the process with %appdata% the error returned is not %appdata% as windows always sets that variable.
Looking through the emil information you posted. the date is given as Date: Mon, 03 Aug 2015 16:58:12 -0000
As the offset is -0000 then the time displayed should be GMT It certainly get it right on Windows 7 for me. SO what happens if you hold the shift key while Thunderbird starts to place it in safe mode.
The only other thing I can think of is that the camera has issues. with time. Note here that the time is set be the sending mail client. SO if the time on the image os set by the camera and the image is emailed from some control box. Then it may be the control box has the incorrect time.
