Adobe 8 will not download to my Windows 7 machine
when I try to update to latest adobe flash, it never gets farther than a blank adobe download manager screen. Also the exe file is always deleted from my unit after attempting upgrade. Ideas?

Try using the "full" or "offline" installer from this page:
https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html
In the first table (version 18.0.0.209), look for the row for "plugin-based browsers" and you can use either the EXE or the MSI installer.
Does that one work?
