Do I need to delete Firefox and reinstall?

I have no knowledge of Mac OSX malware troubleshooting and removal, but why not search via Google for a solution, as it isn't necessarily a Firefox issue. Google search for "remove macerror.xyz"

I already read these posts which were available on your site. I wanted to know if I needed to uninstall Firefox and reinstall it. It seems resolved by just force quitting Firefox and restarting it.
