Don't know if anyone will answer this question correctly? And when it comes to time, I have very little of it. I work my butt off to be sitting here wasting time on finding simple info. So the real question i have is, Where is the bookmarks folder located on my Desktop PC? I have Windows 7 Pro and I am using Mozilla Firefox 34.0.5 I am fed up with Internet Explorer, however I do like the way Internet Explorer stores my favorites on my Desktop PC. I gave a direct description to what i want to know and i expect a direct answer, not some long drawn out run me here and there answer. Like all support communities, everyone thinks everyone asking a question has time to spend days, weeks, months looking for a simple answer to a simple question. Like day and night is there such a folder for Firefox, like there is for Internet Explorer, saved to a PC. Thank You For Your Time And Info.

Firefox has nothing to do with the Favorites folders. As I mentioned, Firefox stores Bookmarks in the places.sqlite file in the Profile folder.

Apparently you have two Profiles. C:\Users\????\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\d8rkjo4v.default C:\Users\????\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\m8kaaqri.default

Check the dates on the files inside the Profile folders to see which is the newest or the one used most recently.

"Folders" in Firefox bookmarks are a graphical representation for user interface display purposes. Bookmarks aren't stored in separate folders as they are with Windows / Internet Explorer.

You can go to your menu bar -> bookmarks -> show all bookmarks -> import and backup -> export And export wherever you like

Usually the bookmarks file should be in C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*profilename*.default

There's no "folder", but rather one file named places.sqlite in the Profile folder. Located as previously mentioned by shady2.

BTW, you could have been less rude. Everyone here is a volunteer - other users like you,

By The Way, I am not being RUDE. I simply Stated what i was wanting to know and so far no one has giving me the correct answer as usual. So it seems none here have ever used the Internet Explorer. Because Firefox does not store bookmarks like Internet Explorer does as Favorites, and in the Favorites folder off line and in your documents you can rearrange your favorites however you please, without being online. You can even add new folders to the Favorites menu without opening internet explorer. I didn't ask anyone here where the backup of Firefox bookmarks are. I had already found the backup folder: C:\Users\???????\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\d8rkjo4v.default or in C:\Users\???????\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\m8kaaqri.default. These are the two locations. Long before I posted on here. But neither or are of help to me. And so i will upload pics to show you exactly what i am talking about. There doesn't seem to be such a folder for Firefox. That was all i wanted to know and none of you gave me the right answer and no I'm not rude. I am direct. Thanks for all your help and info

Read my first comment and follow the instructions.

I did not know this is how IE stored favourites, but it would make sense, since it is very deeply connected to windows ,it's just a integral part of the operating system, so the favourites work probably on a similar principle as the libraries. But mozilla is not a part of windows.
