If I don't have a Windows 7 System Restore point, then how can I go back to the previous Firefox version?
The question says it all. I was able to run Firefox 33.1.1 securely in a Sandboxie sandbox, and now I cannot run version 34.0 in the same sandbox. When I run FF 34.0 in the sandbox, various errors occur that do not occur when it is running outside the sandbox, thus leaving my computer system more vulnerable to malware installers.
If I cannot return to 33.1.1 until the errors in 34.0 are corrected, then I must adopt a competing browser regardless of whether I like it. But I suppose that probably doesn't matter to the people in charge of Mozilla now, since they continue to do things which decrease the number of FF users. They're going to end-up with an empty palace.

Yes, I have reported the problem on the Sandboxie website forum. There is no tech support for Sandboxie except from other "personal license" users, since Ronen Tzur sold the software to Invincea, which is a security firm whose clients are "enterprises".
In my experience, when a program which I have launched in a sandbox previously cannot launch after the program is updated, the problem is not in Sandboxie, it is in the updated software. Updates often introduce new bugs, whether they are worse than any which were corrected.
That is true of Sandboxie, as well, but it has not been updated in at several months. Firefox updates are, IMHO, much too frequent and the changes have become increasingly radical. So it will inevitably become too buggy to use.
At some point you just have to let well enough alone, and stop fixing things that aren't broken, especially when doing that leaves you without resources to fix those things which are broken.

But there's something you wrote that I don't understand : if a program works in your sandbox (I guess from a firewall ? ), but then you modify the program (by updating it, for example), why do you think it should still work in your sandbox ? In this particular situation, Firefox just releases the version 34.0, so it is logical that other programs in relation with FF have to make modifications to work with the new version. Like the addons. And I'm sure that in a few days, your sandbow's firewall's editor will publish a new release of his program to adapt it too.

If your perspective is valid, then if Mozilla updates Firefox, and Windows cannot launch the updated Firefox, then Microsoft must update Windows. Right?
Somehow, I kinda doubt that would be a reasonable expectation. :-)
Firefox 33.1.1 executed in the sandbox which I created for Firefox about eight years ago, and previous versions of Firefox ordinarily ran without any issues. The sandbox configuration hasn't changed during the past 3 or 4 years, except to give permission for the most recent version of Adobe Flash Player to access the Internet.
Certainly, I have examined the sandbox configuration for potential issues, but I have not found any. There are problems with Firefox 34.0 and I cannot ascertain the causes. There are two issues. The odd thing is, the one which occurs is never the same between one launch and the next, and which one will occur is unpredictable.
Succinctly, I don't have time to troubleshoot Firefox issues now, but I must have secure access to the Internet at any and all times throughout each day. That is why I want advice on returning to Firefox 33.1.1.

RIght, sorry, I've never heard about Sandboxie. I check on their website, it seems to be a good program. http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?FirefoxTips is not helping here.
For my perspective, as Firefox (for W) is written to work in Windows, then Firefox shouldn't be not working in Windows. But when Microsoft updates his program, then Mozilla has to update Firefox for it to still work in Windows. But as Firefox is not written to work in Sandboxie, then it belongs to Sandboxie to be updated when the most used programs are updated, like Firefox, Flasphplayer or Windows. Do you see what I mean ?

In the time to get this answer, do you know how to proceed to downgrade Firefox ? There is a lot of published solutions to do that, easy to find. I'll be pleased to guide you, if you need.
