A sender is misidentified in the "from" field

Thunderbird recently altered the information in the "From" field for one of my senders. Not only is it wrong, it is the information for one of my other senders, so that emails from both of them appear to be from the same source. Where can I change it back, or control the settings for this?

So you do not think that display is the contents of a folder. I bet at the tab on top it says INBOX. Sounds like you have it under control, so good luck.

Sounds like folder corruption. Right click the problem folder Select Properties, then Repair Folder

Then read this article about maintaining your email folders to help prevent this in the future.

Thanks for thinking of me Airmail, but the From field I'm referring to is not a folder, it's a column in the inbox view. I'll try repairing the Inbox folder, just in case. No, I don't think that worked. A week ago, messages from 'Correspondent B' suddenly became labeled as if the were from 'Newsletter A'.

I am emptying the Inbox, too, as suggested in the article you recommended. I usually keep it clean, but not so much this last week. Guess I'll see what happens when the next email from 'Correspondent B' rolls in. Thanks.
