When clicking on a bookmark (google) on my bookmark bar, how do I change the cursor position from the address bar to the google search box?

I've switched from IE to Firefox, but have an issue with switching to my google bookmark on my bookmark toolbar. Unlike IE, the cursor starts in the address bar instead of the google search box. Is there any way to change this? Also, is there any way to change the order of the "Edit this Bookmark" button to have "Bookmarks Toolbar" be the default instead of "Other Bookmarks"?
