SD card not detected

I just bought bought Intex Cloud FX today and put SD card in it but it did not detect it. I have 3 SD cards, all running fine in Android phones (2GB, 4GB and 16GB) and one more SD card (2GB) running fine in NOKIA 112. All have FAT32 filesystem. None of these cards are recognized by this Firefox phone.

I even formatted one SD card with ext2fs filesystem but that was not recognized too. Any solutions ?

Hello,

After reading the information provided about your issue I suggest a soft reset of the phone.

  1. Take the back cover of the phone off.
  2. Take the battery out.
  3. Take the SIM card and microSD card out (if applicable).
  4. Wait 10 seconds.
  5. Put the SIM card and microSD card back in (if applicable).
  6. Put the battery back in.
  7. Put the back cover back on.
  8. Turn the device on.
  9. Check if the issue you were having is still present.

Please report back to us if this solved your problem!

Thank you

Hey Andrew, I am quite an advanced user of different OSs. I have already done what you proposed (for 5 hours I think) but no solution.

UPDATE 1: Suddenly after one restart it detected SD card and I could play songs and set wallpapers from there and now half an hour later it automatically stopped detecting it

I understand that you are an advanced user and that the 3 sd cards are not being recognized.

Please also contact your place of purchase as to what they recommend for sd cards for this device.

However on start up, if you gather adb logcat look for any errors that relate to storage.

In the meantime, Media Storage section of Settings, is there an SD Card listed? And can you navigate to the SD card when you connect the device to the USB?

If there is not a lot of data, or if you are using it as a primary device resetting the phone might help, but this will loose data!
