When the prompt after entering a password drops down ("Do you want Firefox to remember the password for ______ on ______.com"), the three buttons pop up (Remember, Never for This Site, and Not Now). The remember button is not working at all, like I click it and it does not go away, it just depresses and stays there. The other two buttons, however, are still working.

This can be a problem with the files that Firefox uses to store the passwords.

If you see saved names and passwords in the Password Manager (Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords") then you can use the Password Exporter extension to create a backup of the passwords.

Check that the exported (xml) file has all the names and passwords.

Rename key3.db to key3.db.old and rename signons.sqlite to signons.sqlite.old and remove all other signons# files (signons2.txt, signons3.txt if they exist) in the Firefox Profile Folder to make Firefox create fresh files.
