I did a browser reset earlier today to try clearing a malware browser hijacker. It worked for FireFox, but I can't figure out how to access 1Password4 without the icon. Any help appreciated. lv

I think 1Password installs at the system level, does that sound right? In that case, it's possible that Firefox did not find the add-on advertised in the Windows Registry, or that Firefox did find the extension but has not enabled it. To gather a little more information, you can view your enabled and disabled extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then look for 1Password on the right side. Disabled extensions are together at the bottom. Is it there and, if so, can it be enabled? If it can't be enabled, is there any error message explaining why?

Thanks to all. Looks like I'll be busy running malware apps for awhile. Just hope I haven't lost all my passwords. Resets can indeed be tricky. This all started with installing a "Free" app "ClipGrab". Going forward, I'll always use a custom install as opposed to hitting the "Next" key.
