Where are the three horizontal lines that should be to the right of the URL box?
All the help screens assume those menu bars are there!

If you have a device with a "hardware" menu button, Firefox uses that menu button and hides the menu button that otherwise appears in the UI.
The "hardware" menu button often appears like an upside-down mail basket and is to one side or the other of the device's home button.
Can you make it work that way?
No, no such button.
What kind of device is it?
Asus memo pad 7
Hi Maharg:
Some more questions that would be helpful to have answered:
- Could you please post a screenshot of Firefox for Android 36.0.1 showing the missing three horizontal lines?
- Do you have a ASUS MeMO Pad HD 7 or ASUS MeMO Pad 7? http://www.engadget.com/2013/07/31/asus-memo-pad-hd-7-review/ http://www.engadget.com/2014/08/01/asus-memo-pad-7-and-8-review/ (I couldn't find such a problem with the MeMO Pad HD 7 or MeMO Pad 7 in our bug tracking system (bugzilla.mozilla.org) but if there is a problem it's going to be helpful to know the exact model number.
Cheers!

Hi Maharg, it looks as though you have 4 "buttons" on the device: Back, Home, Recent Apps, and Android Utilities. Does that fourth button do anything in Firefox or it is intercepted by Android?
At the risk of appearing ungrateful, I'm giving up on this. I appreciate the offers of help, but if it's going to involve hours looking up model numbers and farting around, I don't think I'll bother. I've found another way to do most things, such as bring up my bookmarks.
I tried to change over to Mozilla's mail program six months ago whatever it's called, as I was sick of Windows Live Mail 2011's little quirks, but after wasting several hours trying to insert an image at the end of my emails, I unisntalled it and went back to familiar ground. It happened sometimes, but often it didn't. So I gave up. At least Live Mail does this quickly and reliably. And don't offer to help me out with this, put your energies into someone with more patience.
