Whenever I open a new tab, firefox redirects my to a completley different search engine
So, my homepage is firefox google, and whenever I search something, I open it in a new tab and I realize, instead of shwoing the site name it says, 'redirecting,' and just takes me to another search engine that doesn't do anything. I've just started getting these redirects and it's extremely annoying.

Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs.
You need to use all programs because each detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.
