I cannot access my internet banking. It tells me that the connection may not be secure abut will not allow me to make an exception. I don't know what to do.
I get this with other sites but can allow an exception. I cannot see the whole warning so I cannot click on allow. Is there a way around this?

hello, first please make sure that the date & time is set correctly on your system. if this doesn't solve the issue (or it is already set properly), a possible solution depends on different factors:
- what is the error code shown under technical details on the error page?
in case the error code equals sec_error_unknown_issuer, please attempt to add an exception on the bottom of the error page & inspect the certificate (see the screenshot attached for instructions):
- which issuer information does the certificate contain?
thank you!
"This Connection is Untrusted" error message appears - What to do
Note that you should always be cautious if you encouter this issue and never set a permanent exception without having contact your bank site or otherwise see if you can fix this.
Such websites shuldn't require to add an exception.
Check out why the site is untrusted (click "Technical Details to expand that section) and if this is caused by a missing intermediate certificate then see if you can install this intermediate certificate from another source.
You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.
- Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
Let Firefox retrieve the certificate if the View button isn't active: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate"
- Click the "View..." button and inspect the certificate and check who is the issuer of the certificate.
You can see more Details like intermediate certificates that are used in the Details pane.
If "I Understand the Risks" is missing then this page may be opened in an (i)frame and in that case try the right-click context menu and use "This Frame: Open Frame in New Tab".
Note that some firewalls monitor (secure) connections and that programs like Sendori or FiddlerRoot can intercept connections and send their own certificate instead of the website's certificate.
The whole message does not come up just I just see this connection is with the guy in the corner. The whole thing does not appear. It is in the box where my log on is and thats all that fits.
can you see more information on the error, when you right-click in the error section & go to Frame > Open Frame in New Tab?
That worked. Now I can enter my login information but a blank page loads. Do I need to undo the open frame?
this was just meant as a troubleshooting step to find out more about the error message...
