All pictures saved from net are in JPEG/JFIF format. Cannot upload JFIF
All pictures being saved from the net are JFIF extensions and cannot be uploaded to web sites. How do I prevent this JFIF from happening. It doesn't happen with Explorer.

I note you have have modified Firefox with Yahoo or may even have downloaded a modified version from Yahoo. I have no idea the extent of those modifications and whether that affects this.
You also have a picasa (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Picasa) plugin. I imagine that also could affect image downloads.
As a troubleshooting step does disabling the plugins and running in safe mode help ?
- Perhaps you could give an example with the link used of such an image that you could not download ?
- What about the images on this forum such as the avatars e.g. https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/3929fce38952fc522ed594937939ab17?s=48&d=https%3A//support.cdn.mozilla.net/static/img/avatar.png
