After playing with and changing applications. I can no longer play any videos. Plus since update to Java 7,7, it's as if it doesn't work. Title bar of my Deviant Art site dies not display correctly. Here is a list of my installed players

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Thanks for the suggestion. It did solve most of my problems, except fot the flash player. I think it may be the new 11 versions (4, 3, 2) I read somewhere that it suggested to downgrade to 10,3. Maybe that will solve it. I guess I would have to star ta new thread. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you very much for taking the tome to reply. It's very kind. ;)

You can also fix issues with download actions (Tools > Options > Applications) by deleting the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox Profile Folder to reset all file actions.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder
