Plugin Container causes lag, how do I shut it off? It worked before the last update.
Games worked fine, as did anything else I did. Then the new update came, and the game goes at 1/3 speed, + the rest of firefox is slower, even when the game isn't running and hasn't been opened since the last restart.
This happened
Every time Firefox opened
== Firefox last updated

I added the above and left out some info. I thought I had added this on a previous screen, but it doesn't show above.
This is because of the Plugin Container. Plugins work fine, but the container is messing stuff up.
Firefox slows to a crawl. plugin-container.exe sucking up 60% of a dual-core 3Ghz processor. Kill the plugin-container.exe and things go back to normal. plugin-controller.exe will eventually come back in allowing the flash stuff (most of which I don't care about anyway) until p-c.exe starts sucking up all the processor time again.
I have the same problem. When I'm watching a youtube video it's crashing firefox, and I can't do anything except end the process...
plugin-container.exe is the worst update I have ever encountered!
firefox is starting to suck.
get it together before everyone switches to less lousy browsers.
I switched to Firefox because I didn't want to use less lousy browsers but they are making it hard to become another lousy browser. It worked great before, don't mess up a good thing.

I had the problem before but since the last update the crashes are constant whenever I go on any flash stream websites(youtube megavideo). Today it just went down to a crawl and was using all my resources. Get it fixed or tell me how to get the old version back
type about:config in the address bar and search for dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.npswf32.dll select it and toggle it to false and see if it works better. Worked a bit for me but i'm still considering switching to 2.0 or chrome
lag tastic!
Most interesting is the NON reply from Firefox! Guess they couldn't care less about out problems.....more interested in rolling out a new update, with no explanation, by the way, that it is fixing this problem!
There have been lots of replies in this forum to that issue:
See: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/search?w=2&qs=s&q=plugin-container&sa=
yeah, the non reply from Firefox is the most frustrating part. I think I've sent in 4 or 5 tickets without one single response from Firefox. I don't have time to go searching through threads and don't know who to trust anyway.
All I know is Firefox worked fine until the update with plugin - crasher was installed. Plugin - container sounds great in theory but I wasn't having any trouble with plug ins and if I would make some piece of software and highly suggest that everyone update it, I would make sure it didn't crash 1,000's of computers.
Also, how come I have to type in the anti-bot number twice every time I post? It always says I typed it in wrong the 1st time and that's not the case.
sorry, above post is from Brad
it made all flash using site lag like hells it's annoying
I can't believe i am doing this, but i am UNINSTALLING FIREFOX. sorry, but i care more about my movies than my browser.
firefox, you can fix your issues or you can GIT OUT.
