Google play not offering me fire fox 83 update
I am not getting the fire fox 83 update on google play. I uninstalled the app and re installed and I'm still stuck on version 82. I am running Android version 8.1 on a Motorola g5 plus phone. I really want the update because I want the new ad blocker add on. My husband got the update on a lower end phone running an older android version and less memory than mine so I am a bit confused why my phone didn't prompt me to update. His google play is just set to notify when updates are available it's not even on auto update. Is this possibly a google play issue as I see no reason why I didn't or couldn't get the update on my phone. Please help/ suggestions. Thank you.

Right, it's possible that updates are not sent to everyone at once. I also do see 82.1 on the Release channel and 83.0.0-beta.4 on Beta. Perhaps your husband has the Beta version.

Thanks for replying. I didn't know updates were sent at differnt times. That's what's so weird is his phone doesn't show it's the beta version. I downloaded the beta version on mine and the icon and wording is different.

If it helps I attached a screenshot of his phone showing the 83 version of firefox and no mention of beta version. Under settings about firefox it showed this:
Firefox for android is updated with a staged rollout. We can't say when you'll be able to update from Google Play.
