Can I unhide a top site I've hidden by mistake on New Tab page?
Or should I just pin it?

Gotcha. I actually found how to return all dismissed items from the New Tab which did the trick for me. To do that, I've reset browser.newtabpage.blocked value in about:config and then restarted Firefox.

Yeah, I looked through this and (if I'm not missing anything) I don't see whether I can return the site back to the New Tab page after it has been dismissed
