I can't open Mozilla Thunderbird anymore (i.e. nothing happens upon clicking on it)

In my program files there is a folder of Mozilla Thunderbird and a folder Mozilla thunderbird(14). Recently (13/1/15 and 11/1/15) an uninstall folder was automatically added to the former and latter Mozilla-folder. Since then, I can't open Mozilla thunderbird anymore. Any suggestions, besides uninstall and reinstall?
