About 3 weeks or a month ago I no longer can identify if I am in a private window or not. I used to get a screen with dark borders and it identified itself as a private window. I've tried everything in settings to try to get this private screen back but have not been successful. I have not tried falling back an update or 2. I would appreciate some help with this issue.

There used to be a circle Icon at the upper left part of the Firefox window, between the forward and backward arrows and the URL and inquiry bar.

It's missing.

How do I get it back?

Unsure cause as not happening when using Brave. When right click on any site using Mozilla suddenly, the black writing must be white on white background as link still works but cannot read. What gives? Attached one example.

When Firefox is opened, it reduces the size of the screen! I don't like this and probably selected this without knowing what it was doing. I want to go back to the original full screen! How can I make this happen?

For a couple of years I have been seeing websites with text so light that I've had to copy it into Word to read it. I spoke to the owner of one site, and they said they'd set it to dark indigo. If I look at the same websites in Chrome they are perfectly readable. I've tried changing contrast settings and appearance settings and nothing I've done makes any difference. I've attached images of this website https://lambethlibraryreadinggroups.wordpress.com/ in Firefox and in Chrome. You'll see the main text is affected - and also the white text on the left hand side.

Can you suggest anything that might cure the problem? It's getting so bad I may have to give up using Firefox.

The whole point of the container tab colors is to be NOTICEABLE and instantly recognizable so you can find what you're looking for EASILY and assign new tasks to the correct grouping. I'd ask whose dumb idea it was to remove the colors from the tabs, but everything is apparently slop coded now. The icons are also now stupid, too washed out to be helpful, and I want the WHOLE TAB to be the correct color, not that stupid tiny line across the top. Do the slop-jockeys actually use this software? Because it appears either they don't, or have no idea how people work in real life. These are useless.

Selection items are purple no matter what change to. After latest update I cannot get rid of the purple background color no matter the theme. I use a dark theme and the purple sticks out like a sore thumb. How can I change it? Thank James

Ok this latest UI appearance change is absolute dog feces. I hate it so much! It's so ugly! How do I change it back? I did not consent for my eyeballs to be assaulted like this. Did I mention it sucks? How do I change it back? 157.0.0.11

A lot of the "submit" buttons are no longer highlighted, and other buttons too. The blue is no longer a nice rich deep blue. Hyper text is not a clear as it used to be. Sites that were visited previously aren't the same color. I just want to go back to the original classic Firefox look that I've for years. I'm having the same issue with my computer at home. Something happened during the last Firefox update

After my Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS OS restarts from installing updates all the icons in my favorites disappear so i have to manually re install them.

Is there a fix for this issue?

I cant stand the new sidebar and the revamp false has kept me in firefox. Now its stuck with padding on the outside, padding on the inside even with NOVA turned off. I have gone back to firefox 157 for now.

Is there anyone forking firefox away from all this curvy padded UI. This is very unpleasant.
