Recently, I realized I haven't been logged into Firefox for the greater part of a year, and did so recently. I did so to sync my passwords with the cloud to restore in case something bad were to happen. Lo and behold, 2 days before doing this, my logins file corrupted. Attempting to open the .json in Firefox displays "unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data". This file is pretty sizeable at 105 KB, so the info is on there, but I clearly cannot access it. I've also tried simply deleting the .corrupt extension and restarting Firefox, but it just instantly re-corrupts. Is there anyway to get my data back? Any advice is appreciated.

One night i accessed numerous websites using their saved passwords, but in the morning, there were no passwords in my passwords setting. I didn't knowingly change any settings. My computer is a MacBook Air w/M3 chip running Sequoia.

I tried using the instructions on the website to restore my passwords. Unfortunately, i couldn't find one or more buttons to select.

Interestingly enough, the folders at the top of the Firefox screen w/addresses to sites are still there & work. When I try to log in a selection of possible user names pops up. Please help me restore my passwords. Thanks so much!

When i use PIP in Debian 12 using desktop environment XFCE, I cannot move the PIP to another desktop using alt+space. The menu is greyed out.

this prevents me from moving the PIP to another screen. Is there a solution?

What can you do about it?

account.apps.progressive.com has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.

Probably nothing, since it’s likely there’s a problem with the site itself.

Hello, Ever since Firefox updated to the newest version for my IMAC, I can NO LONGER WATCH A FULL VIDEO on YouTube. The video will start, and then after about 10-20 seconds, it just stops. The red timeline on the video stops because there is a white timeline underneath it that doesn't seem to move once the video loads up. I have to click just a little ways up the timeline, and the video will continue to play for maybe another 10 seconds. Once the red timeline catches up with the white timeline underneath it, the video stops again, and I just get the spinning circle. I can continue to click about 1/4 inch away from the red timeline, and the video plays for 5-10 seconds and stops again. For some reason, the video relies on the white timeline to always be ahead of the red one. Once the red catches up with the white one, the video stops. For some reason, when the video is first loaded, the white timeline is just a little ways down the line, and it does not move. When the red catches up to where the white line stops, the video stops. I can click just a very short distance in front of the white timeline, and it will move to the area I clicked. Then you can hit play, and the video will continue to play till the red line catches up to where the white line was and the video stops again. HELP. I am forced to use Safari because of this, and Firefox has always worked better than Safari till now.

Unbeknownst to myself, I have been using Firefox for the greater part of a year without formally signing in. I've had a Mozilla account for some time, so I simply logged in and thought nothing of it. A few days later I tried to fetch a password for a service I use and noticed that all of my passwords were gone. I've tried going to about:profiles and trying both profiles listed, with no luck. I've checked my Desktop for any file dump, but no luck there either. Any advice would be appreciated!

I have a pixel 6 phone. My default browser on the phone is Firefox. However, when I open the Firefox app to search, a drop down menu in the search bar comes up and asks which browser I want to search in. Google is at the top of this list and Firefox isn't an option. If I want to search with Firefox I have to add a link, but I can't get the link. How to I fix this to only search on firefox?

When I go to certain sites and have to, for instance, fill out a form with my personal info, I can see the open areas where I can type my answers, but I (sometimes) can't see the questions. The background is black and so are the questions so I have to left click and drag my mouse just above the open window to hunt for and eventually highlight the question. It's driving me nuts! Please help and by the way, I'm not exactly computer savvy when it comes to this stuff so try to simplify it if you can. Thanks! -Paul.
