History drop down-Restore Previous Session MENU OPTION AND Recently Closed Windows MENU OPTION tab choice ARE DARK!!! Not active!!! Why? (If they are there to be seen they should always be active for use)

I use these ALL THE TIME!! Where is that function??? Why is MY history from yesterday NOT there for me?? I need it right now!

My life is busy and stressful enough without Firefox or Apple or Microsoft adding to it!!!

btw am waiting full 5+ min for a simple screenshot to "upload" to Firefox help below so I can hit send on this?? Still see the word "uploading" - are you finished yet Firefox?

2 months ago, after an update the programme opens then locks with the cursor being a multicolor rotating wheel. All is locked and the only option is to 'Force Quit" to close the programme down. Can you help ? thank you

Version 148 is very slow. When there are 5-10 downloads, other websites won't open. That's why I use version 140. And why are there so many files in the folder - ....profile\storage\permanent\chrome

Not sure I understand this.... I know all about the saved logins & passwords that I can find under settings and I use that list regularly. But sometimes I have a site that isn't listed in my list. Perhaps it's been a very long time since I used it etc...

But when I click on the user or login field for the site, a list of user names will appear and it's obvious that these are not related to this site. For example I'm on a specific site this morning and I see a list of 6 user names, including my regular email address, another email that I sometimes use, 3 variations of a common user name I use, and a long number.

If I go to the saved password list and search for this site, it isn't listed. If I sort by user name, I can't really search for the usernames that are more common but I can look for the long number and 1 variation of the user name

So....

• Bulleted list item Why does the user name that is a long number appear in a list when I click on the user field at the website when it's associated with another website?
• Bulleted list item Why does a variation of the user name appear in the same list when it is not shown anywhere in the saved password list.

I've seen it happen many times and what's really strange is that on 1 site clicking on the user name field will bring up a list that contains unassociated user names and another website might bring up a different list of unassociated user names! Really strange. Where are these tidbits of information being saved?

This started happening about a month ago, without me changing my settings, which are to retain all emails unless manually deleted. Probably relatedly, copies of sent emails are not saved in the Sent folder. This is my account on yahoo.co.uk - all the emails are available when I go to yahoo through my browser, so it is just Thunderbird that is not ertaining them. I automatically accept Thuderbird software updates (now 148.0.1)

I am looking for the option to have each email row display ~3-5 lines of preview text directly under the subject line in inbox pane. Without it, it's very difficult to manage the email load.

How do I do that?

I have been using Thunderbird for ages now with no problem, but I suddenly realised that no recent emails were appearing from my Gmail account. I have tried everything suggested on line to resolve the problem, including uninstalling and reinstalling Thunderbird, and deleting and re-entering my acccount details but neither the IMAP or SMTP servers will connect to Gmail. I have reset all of the server settings on Thunderbird, and have checked that Gmail is IMAP compliant (which, apparently, is is now automatically). I have spent hours trying to sort this out and am just at the point of abandoning Thunderbird completely, but I am loathe to do so if there is a solution. The latest error message i have received is "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password" but I don't know what else I can check or change.

First of all thanks for Thunderbird!

I used to use the "Open message in conversation" function from the context menu extensively. It showed all the emails in a conversation across all folders. It's not there any more though.

I've found an option to 'Toggle message threads' but this only shows a thread in the folder i'm already in, not across the whole thread/conversation in all folders.

I've found this https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1555101 but it doesn't fix the problem.

My son tried to voicemail me on Messenger but it said this browser does not support voicecalling. I have used this in the past, still on Firefox. I used to get note that a call was coming ans option to connect or discard. Now there is no option to connect. What can I do to get this service back?

This has started a few days ago. I'm running Firefox Desktop on Windows 11. Browsing is perfectly normal, until I try to watch a video in full screen mode. It plays normally for a few seconds and then my whole system freezes, with no response to any action except for hard reset. This has never happened to me before, and all other browsers I try do not demonstrate the same problem. Is there any solution other than changing browser permanently?

Firefox has "Open previous windows and tabs" ticked in Settings. I had to force restart MacOS, and upon starting Firefox again my existing windows are invisible. They are shown in the Window menu and when right-clicking the Firefox icon in the MacOS dock, however when I select one of the windows it does not become visible. Command+` does not show the windows either.

I can however open new windows.

I tried renaming xulstore.json per this old article with no effect.

How can I make the existing windows visible again?

Hi there, it seems I'm suffering from the same problems as others in several countries. I have also not been able to access my gmx.com account via Thunderbird for about a week now. I live in Belgium and use a Proton VPN, in case this is relevant. I can't find how to delete cookies in history, nor any other potential solutions to the problem. Any help offered is greatly appreciated! Best, Doreen

I cannot login into Kick.com, is it because am on Windows 10? If i use any other browser, it works fine no problems!! (the error it gives me is attached)

Здравствуйте. Не хватает гибкая настройка главной вкладки с моими сохраненными сайтами, а именно отключение "посещаемые сайты", чтобы их не пришлось каждый раз "удалять из истории" или "скрывать" из главного, ведь для меня это лишний мусор. Возможно ли добавить такую настройку?

As per title, when I step on a new message not belonging to the first thread, the first thread expands automatically. This does not happen when I step on an already read message. I also tried to mark old messages as unread, and the same thing happens. Apparently, it started doing this today, which sounds weird as Thunderbird last updated on the 15th, but I didn't notice this type of behavior before today.

Thunderbird version: Thunderbird Windows MSIX package 1.0 - 140.8.1esr (64 bits)
