sign out from My Virgin works but recently results in a revolving sequence not the home page as it does using IE. Why

Using windows 7/FireFox log into virgin via website is ok then after I log out instead of loading Virgin's home page I have a red screen with a spinning circle and a revolving list of web pages.

This is a recent change used to work OK and still does using IE64bit
