My site www.karenlmessickphotography.com does not show the revolving images on the home page since updateing to the latest version of FF and OSX Yosemite.

Can anyone tell me why my home page on my website is not showing the revolving images or playing the music to them. It works when browsing it on the Safari platform. I usually use FF to access the web and my site to do updates. I just updated to Yosemite on Mac and have the latest version of FF.

Your website is working fine for me on Linux and I see the rotating images and hear the music playing.

The music appears to be played by a Flash player. Your system details list doesn't show that the Shockwave Flash plugin is installed and enabled. You can check that in "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins".

You can find links of the latest Shockwave Flash player for Firefox on this page:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Sorry this did not solve the problem. Firefox updated and Adobe Flash uninstalled clean reinstalled same active and same problem.

I only have Windows 7 to test with and it seems to be working in Firefox 36. (I don't hear music due to a hardware issue at the moment, but I see the levels moving in the Windows volume mixer indicating that the site is generating sound.)

I realize that's not a solution for you, but maybe it's something Mac-specific in the scripts on the page?
