Why can't I see the SMTP settings?
I'm probably wasting my time here because whenever I Google this problem I get instructions that do not work. And If I try and search Thunderbird Settings with the simple searchterm SMTP I get 'Sorry! There are no results in Options for "smtp".' This seems a peculiar error message for an application that purports to be an email client! And I've just updated to the latest version (115.7.0).
So, pretty please with sugar on top, how do I get to see the smtp server settings in Thunderbird? I would really hate to have to switch to Outlook.
Thank you

OK, I've found the answer myself through experimentation. One webpage I found said "Right click on the account name and click on 'Settings'. An additional tab entitled 'Account Settings' will appear, select the 'Outgoing Server (SMTP)' left-hand menu option." This is what I call a "lie". What actually happens is that a new tab opens on the RHS and if you scroll down RIGHT TO THE BOTTOM you will find the SMTP details hidden away where nobody would look for them.
Frankly, I think the idea of a default SMTP server is ridiculous, since the security settings for the incoming servers might all be different, but what do I know?
