I visit antiwar.com, read an article, read comments, then try to give a thumbs up on a comment I agree with. I click on the Disqus box to log in, but the vote count doesn't go up. I've already tried setting NoScript to allow everything on that site, but nothing changes. I've already tried uninstalling Firefox then reinstalling it on my Debian based Linux computer, but the settings are remembered. I have also tried to refresh Firefox like this page says: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings But the instructions are apparently for an older version of the browser because step number 1: Click the menu button Fx89menuButton, click Help and select More Troubleshooting Information. does not lead to what is shown on step 2. No "Refresh Firefox" boxes appear.

Is there some setting I need to change in about-config?

I haven't visited the problem site, but regarding the Refresh button:

Normally this is in the upper right corner of the Troubleshooting Information page, below "Give Firefox a tune up." If that is missing, here's one possible reason:

Originally, a Refresh could only be performed in your default profile. Do you start Firefox using a -P parameter to specify your profile? In that case, you may need to set your favorite profile to the default. You can do that on the about:profiles page:

(1) Inside Firefox, type or paste about:profiles in the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it.

Take a quick glance at the page and make a mental note of which Profile has this notation: This is the profile in use and it cannot be deleted. That is your currently active profile.

(2) If that profile has a Set as Default Profile button, go ahead and click that to update your configuration.

(3) Open or reload (Ctrl+R) the Troubleshooting Information page and see whether "Give Firefox a tune up / Refresh Firefox" is available. Does it appear now?
