Is there an addon that shows all bookmarks WITHOUT folder structure, sorted according to 'last accessed', so that I can delete the bookmarks I never use?

I have thousands of bookmarks, most of which I never use, I need a way to get rid of the unused ones without having to go through hundreds of folders manually.

Hi, if you turn on the Menu Bar by right Clicking in a empty spot at top of the browser then go to Bookmarks --> Show All Bookmarks --> Views --> then can choose in both options to Sort by "most recent" then all your older bookmarks would be at the bottom. Can try other ways also.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

You can type a common character like a colon in the search bar in the Bookmarks Manager (Library). If the most recent visit column (Views -> Show Columns) is visible then you can sort by this column.

cor-el's answer would have solved my problem if all of my bookmarks had an entry in the 'Most Recent Visit' column. As it turns out only a small fraction of them have, about 95 percent have no entry in that column, I don't know why. So I'm still at a loss ...

You can first check the bookmarks that have a recent visit date and then continue with the others and sort all bookmarks by date added or date modified. With the second pass you can ignore bookmarks with a recent visit date since you have already have dealt with them.

You can also consider to edit a bookmarks HTML backup since such a backup has all bookmarks in one file as a long list. This also includes folders, so you can see more clearly were a bookmark is located.

(I just realized cor-el mentioned this in the immediately previous reply. I didn't read all the way down!)

Hi yorzon, in the Library window ("Show All Bookmarks") you also can show a column for the date you added the bookmark.

Does that have useful data in it for the sites you haven't visited recently?

Depending on how you added your bookmarks, there may be a point at which they all have the same date (imported from another browser date).
