I really don't want to go through a reinstall and complete removal after fixing the sync and import problems. But, The two places you say the refresh firefox buttton is i am missing. I distinctly remeber how handy and useful it was to restore all defaults. BOOM. Sending a pic. Have you moved the button or another way now to dot it maybe? Tabs crash in about 9 secs now lol. I treid restar in safe mode, then restart, no luck. if anything worse. Can't screenshot the unable to play audio error message now, cause no tab stay open without crashing asap. Security errors too. bad now on sites like pandora, i had to add exception

Hi, So you are running the Developer Edition. Since it is a Beta and updates almost every day it is somewhat hard to pin down anything. I would think you might want to file If you have a bug. File a bug report. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/ Bug Writing Guidelines : https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/QA/Bug_writing_guidelines Which of course does not solve your issue.

Did you know that you can run Stable Release (normal) Firefox 58.0.2 at the same time as Dev Ed ? There is a compatibility mode that pops up when installing the Dev Ed. No idea how to install after. Also note it shares your bookmarks so should keep backup if do try the above.

So no idea on a internal refresh but this page button is suppose to do a refresh : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings but before you do please do below :

You will need this for future :

My suggestion is to make backups and uninstall and then can install ver 58.0.2 then install the Dev Ed and stick your Profile back into it.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance

Actually the 60.0a1 is a Nightly channel build if you note the a1. The 61.0a1 builds are just starting on Nightly channel at moment.

To be accurate a version on Beta/Dev Ed channel builds only gets say nine to fourteen builds on average. Nightly gets checkins and two updates each day.

Release < Beta (b#) < Nightly (a1). The Dev Ed. is same as Beta but with added developer features.

refresh

The so called Refresh feature is just a awkward way of creating a new Profile as it is not like it does spring cleaning of the Profile you were using.

You are better off learning how to use the ProfileManager if you want to create a new Profile. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

firefox 60.0a1 Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0

So not only are you testing the more unstable Nightly channel builds, you are using third-party builds from Ubuntu and not from say https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/channel/desktop/

And before Pkshadow, FredMcD, or WestEnd or anybody else says you should go ask on a Ubuntu forum for help, that was not my point.

Keep in mind that the Ubuntu builds could potentially add their own little issues or not. If you want stability then use Release or even Beta builds whether from Mozilla or from say Ubuntu.

If you want to be a Nightly channel Tester then check out the daily builds threads in Firefox Builds http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=23 and the https://discourse.mozilla.org/c/nightly forum though it is not that active in comparison.
