I am having a problem with Thunderbird 2.024. I do not like the newer versions. What can I do?
Sometimes it freezes and other times I cannot open my emails. And then it stops working altogether.
I usually solve the problem by resetting my computer to an earlier date.
When I open it, I get a message which reads: "Thunderbird cannot open securely to web0-site - archive.mozilla.org because the site uses a security protocol which isn't enabled."
I do not want to look for an alternative. Is there any way I can solve this problem.

I would suggest you simply update to the latest version. I only vaguely recall what version 2 looked like so offering support is somewhat compromised by your choice of obsolete software. Perhaps it is time to bite the bullet and simply update. Version 2 is missing literally dozens of security fixes.
I recall all the folk complaining about Thunderbird 3, but it was mostly about visual things that could be changed. I hate tabs was one of the major complaints. I am using Thunderbird daily and I rarely see a tab
If you have trouble updating, just post a new topic and provide the details.
