I have been having issues w/ malware. Bitdefender has proven unable to deal with it, but I have reason to believe it is called the Zeus virus. Acting on advise that said Microsoft had a remover specifically for that problem I downloaded and ran it. However, afterwards when I click the FireFox icon the MSN page comes up instead of Firefox. Further, when I attempt place an address in search, varying false windows will come up. I sure hope someone can help, as I have some critical deadlines coming up. Thanks- Ken

hello, sounds like there is some malicious stuff present on your system, so please perform all these steps:

  1. refresh firefox (this will keep your bookmarks and passwords)
  2. afterwards go to the firefox menu ≡ > addons > extensions and in case there are still extensions listed there, disable them.
  3. finally run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner to make sure that adware isn't present in other places of your system as well.

A browser lock page resulting from an MSN implying I have the Zeus Virus and directing me to call a toll-free number has completely disabled FF in my iPad Air 2 such that every time I click on the FF app I get the same MSN message. I am also unable to delete the app from iPad or reinstall it from the Apple Store. I am running iOS 10.3.2 and FF version 7.5 Do you have a similar workaround for iPad users as that given above for PC users?? This is causing me major problems!!
