When logging on to Thunderbird, how do I have all emails downloaded to an external hard drive? I am not referring to the backup of email to had. I wish to have Thunderbird have all its data on ext had. I installed TB on the ext HD.

I want everything relating to Thunderbird to reside on an external USB HD.

Then you probably do not want Thunderbird, but Thunderbird portable. https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/thunderbird_portable
