My Telus email account migration to Gmail went relatively smoothly and I moved this account back to Thunderbird. Each time I login I get the following (attached). My email however comes through normally and I then cancel out the pop-ups. I believe this is related to the fact that I'm now using an IMAP not POP setting.

Probably related: Following the set-up, I ended up with duplicate accounts but cannot access the non-default account to remove it because it is a duplicate - 'An account with this name already exists. Please enter a different account name'.

I'm not sure where to go fro here. Thanks.

I would create a new Thunderbird profile and setup the new account afresh.
