Profile bug? "unresponsive plugin" Shockwave (/questions/970014)

I too am getting the message "Shockwave flash may be busy, or it may have stopped responding". I have seen this for about a year. It appears several times a day on all types of WEB pages. I use Firefox.

I have read through all kinds of forums offering solutions. Very confusing. I have tried so many things I cannot remember all I have done.

Why doesn't Firefox or Flash/Shockwave post one solution. It is obvious that this problem has started about a year ago. It must be a bug from a new release from one of these companies.

Is the only solution to use IE or Chrome?

hello bgiegler, these issues started when adobe introduced the protected mode for its flash plugin for firefox (https://blogs.adobe.com/asset/2012/06/inside-flash-player-protected-mode-f...).
you can try if disabling protected mode makes a difference.
