No BandCamp audio links play at all (not a sound card issue) Other websites don't load properly - some menu items missing. This includes FireFox support site, where the "ask this" button link doesn't work (same problem as with BandCamp audio play buttons) I did no changes to my system when this problem started on 25 January 2014 These problems occur only in FireFox (my main browser) and not others My system OS: WinXP; FireFox 26.0 FireFox Extensions include "Download Helper 4.9.21" and "Youtube to MP3 2.0" latest Flash (upgrade had no effect) removed GMail Manager extension (had no effect) I'm using Chrome to post this question because FireFox won't work properly on this site Please help ASAP as FireFox is used as the primary part of my job

======================================

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Make sure that you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the Windows/Mac Accessibility settings.

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own colors.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"

Note that these settings affect background images.
