Amazon links do not open next to related tab
I am fairly educated power user and have not been able to find an answer to this bizarre behaviour. I have tried restarting without any add-ons and to no avail. Firefox, whether through Tab Mix Plus extension or modifying about:config is opening related and new tabs next to the current one, as I want it EXCEPT on Amazon.com If I middle click anything on Amazon it opens the tab to the far right and the address bar flashed orange for a second.

Did you open several tabs one after the other? The first one will be next to its parent, but the rest will be to the right of the previous one until you break off and go back to the parent tab.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
Doesn't do anything. On Amazon.com, only there I have found, does middle clicking send the tab to the last place, even if Amazon i the first one of the opened ones. When I click ANY link on Amazon.com the address bar flashes (not so much orange but a mix of orange-yellow, see pic)
Dear cor-el, as stated in the OP, I have done that already and do not use personas.
What kind of links are that?
Are that (onclick) JavaScript links or normal links?
Are there any tab related prefs changed from their default value?
Normal links. You can see in the lower-left part the full address to where I just clicked (the Oral-B product page in Amazon), but basically any clicking on the Amazon website triggers the flashing.
Only two tab settings have been changed by the TabMixPlus extension and they work perfectly with ANY website except Amazon.com
If I restart without add-ons, middle-clicked links open at the far right.
