New page opening, similar to a pop, every time I click on page. Including when I want to type in a search or address box. the new page first trys to open 'mux.jsonlock.net' then 'ad.adserverplus.com' then 'www.updatevideo.com' which it can never open.

I've been told to turn off javascript but then I get popups asking me to turn it back on again and some things wont open.
Why has javascript started doing this and how do I stop it ?

Thanks

It sounds as though you may have an unwanted extension. Could you open the following tab and disable ALL nonessential and unrecognized extensions. If in doubt, disable.

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category

After restarting Firefox, do you notice any improvement?

If the problem affects Firefox search boxes, you also could try this add-on to restore the default search engines:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/searchreset/

Does that help?
