I have tried EVERY article suggested in firefox support and nothing works. PERIOD. I have disabled all add ons, all themes, all plug ins, all extensions, virus scanned, ccleaner, and reinstalled several times.

Nothing seems to work, I went ahead and reported the issue to firefox is crashing over 100 times with my email address in many of them and have yet to get a response.

Only time firefox wants to run is if I do it as adminstrator. Anyone have any ideas?

We're sorry to hear that your Firefox seems to be crashing when you open it. Please perform the following steps to give us a crash report ID that helps us find out more about the cause of the crash.

  1. Press the following shortcut to get a Run window: [Windows] + [R]. This should bring up a window that contains a text field.
  2. In that text field, enter %APPDATA% and press Enter. An explorer window should open.
  3. From that explorer window, double-click on the Mozilla folder, then double-click on Firefox and then on Crash reports. Double-click on submitted.
  4. Now, you should see a list of files that contain reports. Go to View > Arrange Icons by > Modified to get the most recent files at the top of the window.
  5. Open the most recent 5 files with a text editor and copy the IDs.
  6. Paste each ID into the reply window on the forums.

Thanks in advance!

hello jpgreat1, from the crash report you've submitted it seems like the crash is malware related, the malicious file on your pc causing the crash is named qmxiadzm.dll (randomly generated filename).

according to reports from other users it may be detected by microsoft safety scanner and kaspersky security scan.

again, all the crash reports you've submitted show that there is a file named qmxiadzm.dll which is likely part of Trojan:Win32/Tracur (by microsoft's classification). i would not rely on scans you've already done since it might be a relatively new variant which isn't yet detected by the signatures of all av-vendors.

Well the 2 scans you mention I just did them and they found nothing so what should be my next step?

other users have reported that the file is residing in %localappdata%\DT Soft\ (normally that's "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local"). you could attempt to boot into windows safemode (by pressing F8 while your computer is starting up) and delete the .dll file manually.

also press windows-key + r and open "regedit". in the registry editor then search and delete all entries of qmxiadzm.dll.

however i'm no malware removal expert, so I'm not sure if these steps will get rid of every trace this malware is leaving on your system
