why am i getting duplicate emails in 2 of my aol email accounts?

have you logged into each AOL account online to see if the messages are duplicates?
Yesk they were duplicates...but by the time i get this resolved here, I just deleted thunderbird entirely, and reinstalled it ...seems the only quick way to get some problems resolved.
