? Please refer to the attached images According to the Manual Configuration, I set-up my account. First to IMAP and then a second time to POP3. Both set-ups were successfully tested. The first set-up (IMAP) received the more lengthy refusal when I sought to finalize it by pressing the Done button; and the second set-up received second shorter refusal. So, the question is what am I doing incorrectly? I have independently tested both the ID and the password and both are proper. Thanks for your assistance. Mark Lee

outlook has many settings, so I generally avoid questions about it. I will share that authentication for my own account is OAUTH2, not 'normal password' as you have chosen. I also use smtp.office365.com for SMTP server, but that may not be an issue.

    Thanks about observations regarding Outlook. I do not have the optional account verification method, so I am stuck with the Normal Password authentication. It just strikes me as odd that a password is acceptable to set-up an account, but insufficient to successfully link to a client-side software. Again, thanks.

The authentication method should be OAuth2, and the outgoing server smtp.office365.com.

If OAuth2 isn't available in the drop-down, click Advanced Config. and set it there.
