Thunderbird will not display remote content, followed the given guide, does not give me the option to unblock remote content

Could you just paste one of those links into a reply.
I suspect that they are not remote images, but remote scripts. But I do not have the patience to type in the alphabet soup necessary to try and get there to find out.
