Thunderbird interface with the ISP I use for email
For many years I have had an email account with Great Basin Internet Services in Reno, Nevada (I used to live in Reno). For the last 15 or so years I have used Thunderbird on my computer to retrieve my emails from GBIS to read on my computer, store, forward, etc. On Tuesday 12/19/2023 around 10 A.M. I stopped receiving my emails on my computer and also on my smartphone (Galaxy S 8). I spoke to the GBIS tech people and they say that my account is working fine on their end so they suggested contacting Thunderbird to see what changed that might be causing my emails to not download properly from the GBIS account. So I am looking for some direction as to what may have been changed to stop the emails from coming to Thunderbird. Obviously I can't receive any emails right now. You can text me however. You haven't provided any information on your account, such as your input and output server settings in full. The fact that your smartphone also stopped is a strong indication that the email provider changed the settings, as Thunderbird's settings can have zero impact on your phone. I would have thought they would take a serious interest on hearing that your email stopped on PC and phone. So, give us the info and someone here may have suggestions on whatever was changed.
