This is the second problem I have discovered with the latest TB update. Now, my unified folders are not fully populating. For instance, the unified inbox and sent folders are missing a number of messages that can only be accessed through the individual folders. In the case of the unified inbox, it will indicate that new message(s) have been received, but they are only listed in the individual folders. This new update also messed up my unified folder preferences for the appearance of columns, and frankly, I also don't like the new user interface look. If it's not broke, don't fix it.

I am going to start by quoting the text of an email I received form the release management folks on the 30th September.

Greetings. Hope you are all having a great weekend. https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-us/thunderbird/addon/unified-folders-debugging/ is available for unified folders problems, created by one of the developers who has been working on these issues. For users who have issues with 115.3.0 or newer, they should be encouraged to use this tool, and file a bug report with the diagnostic output (created before they try to "fix" the issue). Thanks

So are you using V115.3 or newer? Please do what the email says and someone will get back to you on the bug report.

First, I appreciate your response Matt. I am using 115.3.1 and this whole upgrade is costing me time that I don't have. I really don't have time to be filing bug reports. I just want to go back to the version that was working. This is ridiculous. I downloaded the add-on, and reset Unified folders. It brought back my Sent folders, but now my unified folders are not populating. We are supposed to be making improvements, not becoming a burden on users. I donate money to try and help out, and that's all i can do for now. I'm 65 years old trying to figure out how to keep from starving to death, that is my priority. Don't fix it if it aint broken. The developers need to appreciate this.

If you try to go back you're in for trouble. Besides not being supported, it works 50-50 at best, and no one wants to be helping you remotely trying to fix a bad profile. We are interested in fixing this, but are unable to reproduce the issue. So data from users is needed.

Folders work properly in "All Folders" mode works, correct?

Wayne, after this experience, I hope the development team makes it a priority to include an option to restore previous version with all future upgrades. I submitted a bug report called: My Unified Folders are Not Fully Populating with TB upgrade 115.3.1. Everything is explained in this report.

I don't know what you mean by "saved debug clipboard". Please let me know when a solution is available. As mentioned in the report, the new user interface is also hard on the eyes. I know this is a separate issue, but there was nothing wrong with the previous UI. In fact, it was great.

This 115.31 upgrade is totally messed up. Besides the above, it has also seriously screwed up my Google accounts. I am now seeing messages that I have previously deleted in my Unified Inbox as well as my individual account Inboxes. I will now need to go through hundreds of emails and re-delete them, but I will not do that until all of these problems have been addressed and rectified. For now, we need a fool proof, one click option to revert to a working version of Thunderbird. The senior developers need to let us know what they intend to do to resolve this, and when this will be addressed.
