Hello. We use Firefox at our work and are having issues with Heartland Payroll. It seems to use Microsoft's cloud and the issue we're having is that it won't send the text message in order for us to verify the browser. It seems to happen on occasion and they try to blame Firefox and tell us to use Chrome. I tried turning off all addons and site tracking protections. That seemed to work on some machines and not on others so I'm not sure if that's doing anything at all. Once the text message is received we can access and use the site like normal but getting the page to send the text verification is where we can get stuck. Thank you for any help you can give.

Firefox is a non-profit and thus it might not have the protocols the site need to verify access and considering is Microsoft have you considered Edge so it work with Microsoft products. And if the site tells site to use to access the site there is a reason for it not because they don't like Firefox.

Hey Dropa thanks for the response. I don't think this is an accurate view of the situation though. The web is based on standards and they are intended to be browser agnostic. (Assuming Firefox implements those standards correctly).

Telling someone to use a certain browser to get a site to work is like telling someone they can only drive a Ford if they want to use your drive-through lane. (Toyotas not allowed)

While site designers can cop-out and say "use chrome" that completely flies in the face of the architecture and design of the web.

The web is designed to be browser agnostic.

That's just a fact. HTML, CSS, HTTPS, SSL, none of it was built in the context of a specific browser and for good reason.

Even's Microsoft's own Azure is browser agnostic: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-portal/azure-portal-supported-browsers-devices#SnippetTab

I appreciate you trying to help but I don't think you understand the nature of the internet and just because site devs take the path of least resistance and tell people "use chrome" instead of building robust websites doesn't mean that they're right.
