I had a problem with my profile, the quick filter didn't work anymore. To test further I deleted (after backup of course) all accounts, except a small one. The problem persisted, so it wasn't due to a corrupt mail folder or index, but rather to a corrupt profile.

So I created a new profile, migrated my accounts, copied the extensions folder, and everything works fine. It was easy to do, except that I have now to re-configure all my extensions.

Where are the extension preferences stored ? Is it possible to copy them to the new profile ?

Hello

Looking at an extension I use, quicktext, there don't seem to be any fixed place. By default it's storing prefs under a subdirectory named 'quicktext' (but looking at code it could have been named anything) in Xml files that are read and parsed with vanilla Javascript. Copying the files make appear the extension parameters in a freshly created profile, so there is no magick involved. So basically it all depends on the extension and how it's coded.
