Slow load of imap on startup

Hello with recent upgrade (to 102.0.xx I think), starting up Thunderbird inbox with imap has got very slow. Visually on startup, there is an icon associated with the inbox tab “Inbox” dot on “Inbox me@my_imap.net” working, for a long time before actually brings in new mail. I've tried tweaking some sync settings - but no change I've (foolishly) upgraded another computer that had Thurnderbird 94.xx, that started having the same problems

Any suggestions appreciated? thanks
