91.9.0 - Tabbed message changing instead of current layout one

Running 91.9.0 on Mac OS 64-bit

This has been happening just recently (I don't know if due to update).

Issue description: On inbox, when single clicking on on email in the list of emails, it opens the layout view of that email. On double clicking it opens the message in a tab. If I go back to the inbox view (first tab) and click on another email, the layout view doesn't change but I can see the latest open tab is changing with the selected email.

The issue happens on my 2 mailboxes.

What should happen: Tabbed emails shouldn't change Layout viewing email should be the ones selected

Re-installed thunderbird completely

I've uninstalled this way: https://nektony.com/how-to/uninstall-thunderbird#uninstall_thunderbird_manually

The issue still happens. I'm only using 2 plugins (conversations and owl)
