Hi, TB is working fine but recently I've noticed that some emails I have still to deal with go to the bin without me being asked. The odd thing is that not all of them go. If I move the emails I want back to the Inbox they stay there for a minute or two then jump back to the bin. I use Linux Mint. I do have quite a lot of messages in All Mail but have deleted some to see if that helps but it made no difference. Thanks in advance.

What folder exactly is "the bin"? Trash or Junk or Spam or Deleted or ? Please confirm it is a folder specifically named Bin. If not, the folder name may help determine whether it is Thunderbird processing (Junk/Trash) or your email provider's system. Also - are you seeing them in Inbox at all when they first arrive - for a second or two, or for some time before they move? If you have IMAP it could be happening in the online email service before they ever download to Thunderbird. If you see them in Inbox when they first download, look for a reason in Thunderbird. See if moving it to another folder leaves it alone - filters often run on Inbox automatically but probably are not set to process other folders. Check in Thunderbird filters, and online webmail filters for rules that move messages to that folder. If the messages actually go to Spam it is probably the online system spam detection, and if they go to Junk, that is probably Thunderbird spam detection. Those are guesses, as you may have all manner of folders set up, or have redirected Thunderbird to place deleted or spam messages in other places than the default locations. I don't have Linux so this is rather general, but may get you on the right track.
