Since the last update - messages that I routinely need to forward will not send. Keeps telling me I don't have permission for attachment - which are all documents from my own computer. I kept switching messages (as I had forwarded all of them before- so have multiple copies) and then it would send after 3-5 tries - with no error message. This has NEVER happened and it is really a problem for what I use the email for. Can I go back to older version. The new update seems awful. Thanks for any solutions.

Are the documents on the same drive as TB, or on a network drive? What's the antivirus and its settings for email?

Yes they are on the same drive. No antivirus running

Is there anyone that I could email to ask this to that you know? Any kind of support besides this forum? It is maddening. These are messages that I have sent many times - information for courses that I have - and I have to try sometimes 6 or 7 - and then it sends with no error message.. Have to find another email service if I can't solve.. Wish there was a way to ask someone this. or revert to former version?

Are you running a Windows administrator account? It looks like you're trying to access a file or folder for which you don't have the necessary permissions. This page has some information on file access:

Hi - Nope - that is not it - and the messages all eventually send - and have been getting sent in some cases for years. I am not running a Windows administrator account and all the files are ones I created on the same computer myself. I have access to all of them. It is ONLY the Thunderbird error - and only since the last update.
