Yahoo hijacking Google.
Hi, I'm having a problem with Yahoo regarding them taking over my Google searches. I keep trying to go to my add-ons but it just takes me to a new page but nothing ever loads, I can't even refresh this page. I'm not sure what to do so I need 'professional' help. Thank you.

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; (<Control> [Mac=<Command>] <Shift> A)
In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Remove “ Yahoo “ Anything.
Also remove SafeSearch, SearchAssist Incognito, FileConverter Addon, SearchLock, DiscreteSearch, WebSearch, Findwide Search Engine, securedsearch
Now do the same in the computer’s Programs Folder.
Windows: Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. Mac: Open the Applications folder. Linux: Check your user manual.
hi, thank you for the report - there seems to be an increase in malware addons recently that force yahoo search upon users against their will.
could you give us more information?
- launch firefox in safe mode once: Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems
- enter about:support into the address bar of firefox, then copy the text contents of that page
- paste the text content into a site like https://dpaste.com/
- provide the link generated here in a reply in the forum
